DP Induction
Minimum Entry Qualification Requirements
For new Nautical Institute certified DP Operators, please find Nautical Institute’s site www.nialexisplatform.org and click on “DP Information Centre” then “New Offshore DP Scheme” then “Requirements - New Offshore Scheme” to read about the training scheme requirements to become a DPO.
On successful completion of both the Induction Course and induction online exam, the trainee DPO will be issued with a NI DP logbook in which the courses, DP sea time, tasks and the Statement of Suitability are recorded. The subsequent DP sea time following the Induction Course provides the opportunity to complete the task sections in the logbook.
Students must bring the following to class:
- MMC (also email to Student Services when registering for the course)
- Passport
- 2 recent passport photos. Write name on back
