American Public University System

The American Public University System's (APUS) two member institutions are American Military University (AMU) and American Public University (APU). Their Transfer Credit Department strives to serve the nation's military and public service communities by offering a comprehensive review of all previous academic, military, civilian, and public education and training for potential credit toward degree and certificate programs

The maximum transfer credit award possible from this specific internal recommendation is 6 semester hours (SH); individual transfer credit award will vary based on the requirements of a student's selected degree program, any additional documents submitted for transfer creditevaluation (TCE), and the University's TCE policies.

Any credit awarded from this internal recommendation is considered nontraditional transfer credit.

Eligibility Overview:

Graduate students must be pursuing one of the following programs at the University:

  • Any graduate level degree program

Students are most likely to maximize their transfer credit award if they are pursuing the following program:

  • Master of Arts in Transportation and Logistics Management with a concentration in Maritime Engineering Management
