STAR Center visits New York Harbor School

On Sept. 18, 2023, STAR Center visited and met with students from the NY Harbor School at their Governors Island campus. Students from the schools Marine Systems Technology and Ocean Engineer programs engaged with STAR Center and learned about career opportunities in the maritime industry with a focus on engineering disciplines. In addition to learning about academic pursuits, STAR Center highlighted work based learning opportunities including the STAR Center TECH Apprentice Engineer program and the career opportunities available through American Maritime Officers. The visit was part of STAR Center’s ongoing efforts to foster and promote maritime domain awareness to the next generations.
