Scope
This course is designed
to improve electrical Safety Awareness. Students are introduced to the dangers,
consequences and precautions concerning crew and equipment on board a vessel.
Objectives
Upon completion of this chapter each student will be expected to:

List the three major hazards
associated with electrical energy.

Identify the major factors that
make shock, arc and blast so hazardous.
·
Identify the types of protective strategies that should
be utilized to mitigate the severity of shock, arc and blast.
